Most test programs seek to be diverse and inclusive, but there are many dimensions and aspects to DE&I. To make progress, individual programs and even the testing community need to align on the purpose of this work, define goals and measure how well we are doing. The DE&I workgroup within the IT Certification Council (ITCC) has proposed a DE&I maturity model. The proposed model is organized around four maturity levels defined across 6 areas of consideration, which can be used to identify the current state of an organization in its DE&I journey and help define focus, goals, and an action plan. In this session, presenters will share the proposed maturity model, the definitions and initial progress on implementation. They will also discuss relevancy to all sectors of testing and how it can be applied to individual programs.
Learning Objectives:
apply a maturity model to understanding their certification/testing program’s progress in diversity and inclusion
begin defining the focus and goals for DE&I within their certification/testing program
identify pathways to improving the diversity and inclusivity of their certification/testing activities
