As Assistant Vice President of Experience + Education, Jeremy facilitates NCARB's strategic engagement with licensure boards, universities, students, and practitioners to better the educational development of architects. In addition to liaising the Council's Education Committee, he is co-liason for the Licensure Process Research and Development Task Force, which is charged with developing the "next generation" model for assessing professional qualifications.
Mr. Fretts also manages NCARB's Continuum Education program, which offers one new, curated on-demand CE course per month, and a library of over 130 existing courses updated regularly.
Before joining NCARB, Jeremy worked as designer and project architect for 22 years at various firms in the Midwest and Mid-Atlantic regions. Jeremy is passionate about helping architects and the architecture profession become their best through excellence in education, training, and management practices.
Jeremy received his B. Arch. from Ball State University and M.A. in Education and Human Development from The George Washington University. He is a registered architect in Virginia and Indiana, and has extensive volunteer leadership experience. He is a member of the American Institute of Architects and holds the NCARB Certificate for national reciprocity.
