Tara Myers is the Director of Measurement Services at the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC). She is an accomplished leader with over 20 years of experience in assessment development. She currently implements the strategic direction for the ANCC certification program and leads the team responsible for the development and maintenance of 17 nursing certifications and affiliated assessment products. Prior to her current role, Myers worked as a consultant creating high-stakes assessment programs in private and public industries. She has published and presented on job analysis, test development, talent management, and psychometrics. She was co-author of the Job Analysis chapter in the third edition of the Institute for Credentialing Excellence (I.C.E.) Certification Handbook; served as co-editor for the Society for Industrial/Organizational Psychology (SIOP) TIP’s The Bridge: Connecting Science and Practice column, on SIOP Professional Practice Committee for Learning Resources, and on SIOP Wayne Cascio Scientist-Practitioner Awards Committee; and is now a member of I.C.E.’s Publications and Editorial Committee and of the Certification Network Group (CNG) Board of Directors. She earned her M.A. and Ph.D. in Industrial/Organizational Psychology at the University of Nebraska.
