To the Future, and Beyond! Applying a Futurist Mindset to Achieve the Possibilities of Tomorrow

“Think outside the box.” “Envision and then create a new reality for yourself and your program.”

While organizations recognize the benefit of a fresh mindset to prepare to rapidly generate and accept new ideas and solutions, finding concrete approaches to doing so is challenging. Further, adopting and becoming comfortable in this mindset is needed to fully utilize its benefits.

Thinking like a futurist is an exercise, that like any other exercise, one can be taught steps to move from novice to advanced, to expert, and truly begin to realize the benefits of thinking outside the box.

This session will teach attendees exercises they can use to expand their thinking and begin to see new possibilities. However, just seeing a potential outcome is not enough to make it a reality. Exercises will delve into how visionaries and leaders must learn to recognize the milestones that validate or refute their own brilliant ideas. From there, our journey to futurist thinking will expose the patterns that leaders must embrace and some bad habits we need to eliminate to navigate to a more gratifying and successful future state.

Attendees will drop into bootcamp experience in this engaging session as we all exercise our futurist muscles, becoming more comfortable in opening our minds to new ideas and creative approaches to current and future challenges.
