Ann Harman is Chief Assessment Officer for the American Board of Anesthesiology (ABA). In this role she leads all ABA programmatic functions, including credentialing services, examination development and administration, the Maintenance of Certification in Anesthesiology (MOCA) Program and psychometric and research services. Dr. Harman earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Philosophy from the University of Utah, a Master of Education degree in Counselor Education and a PhD in Educational Research Methodology, both from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro (UNCG). She completed a post-doctoral fellowship with the UNCG Center for Educational Research and Evaluation, where she supported the development and validation of a national performance-based assessment and certification system for K-12 teachers through the National Board for Professional Teaching Standards (NBPTS).
