Dr. Diane Tyler is Chief Executive Officer for the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners Certification Board (AANPCB). Prior to working with AANPCB, Dr. Tyler was a professor of nursing and director of the nurse practitioner programs at The University of Texas at Austin. Recent professional activities include advancing NP certification and nursing specialty role development. Dr. Tyler is a family nurse practitioner, certified association executive, a member on the I.C.E. board of directors and on the National Commission for Certifying Agencies, in which she is currently serving as chair. She is a fellow in the American Academy of Nursing and the American Association of Nurse Practitioners.
