Jeff Evans serves as Director of Public Policy for the American Society of Association Executives (ASAE). In his role, Jeff advocates on behalf of ASAE’s membership of 48,000 association professionals and industry partners on state and federal issues, including financial services, tax policy and workforce development, among others. Amid the COVID-19 pandemic, Jeff's steadfast advocacy played a critical role to help secure billions of dollars of essential relief for associations via the Paycheck Protection Program. ASAE and the Institute for Credentialing Excellence are the founding members of the Professional Certification Coalition (PCC), and, as ASAE’s representative, Jeff serves on the PCC’s Steering Committee. On behalf of both ASAE and the PCC, Jeff has been closely involved with federal and state legislative initiatives that affect the certification community. Jeff began his career on Capitol Hill, has worked in the nonprofit and association communities for almost 10 years, and proudly represents the power of associations every day. Jeff is the recipient of multiple honors for effective advocacy, including recognition as a 2022 Leading Association Lobbyist by Association TRENDS and a 2022 top association lobbyist by The Hill.
